Help Me Define My Big Ambitious Goal

I believe that I’m on this planet for a reason. There is a purpose to my life. That purpose is filled with an outrageous amount of passion. I refuse to mealy exist on this planet. I want to make a difference. I want to contribute to society in an enormous positive way. We all leave a legacy behind when we our time comes to an end. What do you want to be remembered for? I’m about to share one of my Big Ambitious Goals, but I actually need your help in defining exactly what I’m going to accomplish.
I wrote a report over a year ago called Obliterate Obesity. In that report I share my big ambitious goal of reversing the obesity trend by 2015 and some of the steps that I see necessary if I am going to play a key role in this worthy goal.
I have been doing some thinking lately about this big ambitious goal. You see, I prefer to state my goal in a positive such as; “I will earn $100,000,000 in the next 365 days” instead of “I want to eliminate my debt”. Or “I will achieve 6% body fat” rather than “I want to lose weight”.
Obliterating Obesity is stated in a negative almost like “I want to lose weight”. So now I’m trying to state this goal as a positive. Here’s what I’ve come up with so far. “I will play a major role in helping 90% of the population improve their health drastically and live their lives at a healthy weight by January 1st 2015.”
The thing with this goal is that I will have to define what a healthy weight is. Some people believe a healthy weight can be up to 20 pounds overweight. But what is 20 pounds overweight? I could chose to strive for 90% of male population to be under 19% body fat and 90% of the female population to live under 28% body fat.
What do you think? Am I on the right track with redefining my big ambitious goal? Can you help me rephrase it? What do you believe is a healthy weight or body fat percentage to aim for when it comes to my big ambitious goal?
I really appreciate your help with this. I am very passionate about this goal and I’ll need more than your help in just redefining this goal… I will need your help in achieving this goal. Can I count on you?

“I could chose to strive for 90% of male population to be under 19% body fat and 90% of the female population to live under 28% body fat.”
I think this is how I’d do it. Seems like a decent way to measure success.
I think you need to dig deeper – it’s not about the % of body fat, that’s something that is so dry………….it’s about why people let themselves go…how about something like “I am going to lead the way – and be forever remembered for – helping people care deeply about their weight and their health and empowring those people to make positive life changes”
Nicola, that is absolutely brilliant.
I am not passionate about seeing the majority of the world under 20% body fat. What I am passionate about is helping everyone live the quality of life that they deserve.
I will definitely be using your suggestions when I reword my mission statement.
Thank you for being such an amazing Change Series Expert!
